Ujjain,mp, news: For the first time in the history of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, the temple committee has taken strict action against a priest and removed priest representative Bablu Guru (Prashant Sharma) from the post of priest and stopped his entry into the temple as a priest.Now he can come to the temple only as a general visitor after informing the administrator. Bablu Guru is the representative of priest Dilip Guru.
Bablu Guru, the younger brother of Dilip Guru and Pradeep Guru, is accused of insulting the dignity of the temple. Along with this, the temple priest Dilip Guru has also been warned of strict action if such an incident occurs in future. Remember that on April 12, 2025, the temple administrator has taken action against Bablu Guru who had a dispute with the temple employee Shubham during Shayan Aarti. At the same time, the administrator of the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee has written a letter to the priest Dilip Guru and warned him that if such an incident is carried out by him or his representatives in the future, strict action will be taken against them too.
Big action by temple administration
According to the letter issued by temple administrator Pratham Kaushik, priest representative Bablu Guru, who tarnished the image of Mahakal temple, has been removed from the post of representative of priest Dilip Guru as per the temple acts. It is clearly written in the letter that now Prashant Guru will not be able to conduct worship for any Yajman.
Mahakal can come as a normal visitor
In the letter issued by the Mahakal temple administrator, it has been said that he will be able to take the benefit of Baba’s darshan or enter the temple only by standing in the queue like normal devotees. Bablu Guru will also have to inform the administrator’s office before coming to the temple. Also, in the order, the authorized priest Pt. Dilip Sharma was warned that if in future any kind of image is tarnished by him or his representative, then strict action will be taken against him under the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Act.
There was a dispute during Shayan Aarti on 12 April
It is alleged that there was a dispute between priest representative Bablu Guru and employee Shubham Gaur during Shayan Aarti on 12 April 2025. While investigating it, information was taken regarding the incident inside the temple. In the investigation, it was found that Bablu Guru climbed the barricade installed in Nandi Mandapam at around 10 pm and tried to get the devotees standing at the Nagada Gate to enter Nandi Mandapam.
During this, he had a dispute with Inspector Shubham Gaur who was on duty in Nandi Mandapam. In the video, Bablu Guru was seen shaking. This type of indecent behavior with the inspector was not displayed in accordance with the dignity of the temple. For this reason, a hearing was held under Section 18 (02) of the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Act regarding the act committed by Bablu Guru. Regarding this, a show cause notice was issued to Bablu Guru on 14 May 2025. In it, he was ordered to submit a reply within two days. But he submitted the reply after 13 days on 29th May 2025.
One sided action, will demand fair investigation from the collector
In this case, Bablu Guru said that this is a one sided action of Mahakal temple committee. They did not listen to my side. On the day of the incident, he was present there as Aarti Pujari. An hour before Aarti, a lot of people were seated in Nandi Hall. Some people were standing at the Nagada gate who were not even his patrons. When he asked them to make them sit inside, he was threatened by talking to them in indecent language. I have full faith in Mahakal, he will definitely get justice. He will demand a fair investigation from the collector.
