Indore Digital Address: Indore Municipal Corporation is preparing to give a digital address to every house in the city. Under this, a sheet with a QR code will be pasted outside the house. On scanning this QR code, information about property tax, birth-death certificate and other services related to the house will be available. This will start in Ward 82 by the end of this month.
Indore. Taking a step towards digitalization, Indore Municipal Corporation has now prepared to give a digital address to every house in the city. Now every house in the city will be given a unique digital identity. A sheet will be pasted outside the house. There will be a special QR code on it.
On scanning this QR code, information about property tax, birth-death certificate, garbage collection and other services related to that house will be available. This system will start in ward 82 by the end of this month. After this, it will be implemented in other wards of the corporation in a phased manner.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava had talked about digitizing the city in last year’s corporation budget. Since then, efforts were going on in this regard. Under the digitization campaign, the corporation is going to install QR codes outside every building in the city. In the first phase, it will start in ward 82.
This will be the benefit
Both the corporation and the building owner will benefit from having a QR code outside the house. Any person can scan the QR code to find out whether the property tax of the house has been paid or not, whether the garbage is being collected regularly or not.
Similarly, information about the certificates issued at the said address can also be obtained from the QR code. The officials of the corporation’s revenue department will get information about the building as soon as the QR code is scanned. They will not have to carry old records with them.
