MP News: The administration has already started preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh to be held in Ujjain in 2028. AI will be used for crowd and parking management during the Kumbh event. The IPS officer who played an important role in the management of Prayagraj Mahakumbh has given a presentation in this regard.
Bhopal: Artificial Intelligence (AI) will also be used for crowd, traffic and parking management in the Simhastha to be held in Ujjain in the year 2028. Drones will be used for monitoring security and other arrangements. After the successful use of these technologies in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh this year, they will be adopted here as well.
DGP Kailash Makwana held a meeting with senior officials at the Police Headquarters on Thursday regarding the preparations for the Simhastha Mahakumbh. In this, Uttar Pradesh Police IPS officer Prem Kumar Gautam, who played a major role in the arrangements of Prayagraj Kumbh, gave a presentation about the arrangements made there.
Real-time traffic monitoring will be done
Gautam said that for smart traffic management and crowd control, AI based traffic control center was established and real-time traffic monitoring was done by Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITS). Accurate supervision was done on major routes and crowded areas with the help of drones. For the convenience of devotees, live traffic updates were made available by creating a route diversion mobile app.
Preparation to deal with terrorism also
He also said that dog squad, bomb disposal unit were deployed to deal with anti-terrorism activities. Cyber threats from the dark web and the activities of suspicious persons were constantly monitored with the help of face recognition tracking system. He also told about VVIP movement and devotee facilities.
Less space compared to Prayagraj
The state police is preparing to adopt these arrangements in Ujjain Simhastha as well. Since there are almost three years left for Simhastha, the police has enough time to prepare. There is a possibility of about three crore devotees coming in it, but the big challenge is that there is very less space in Ujjain compared to Prayagraj, the streets are narrow.
