Indore News: The heat is increasing in Indore, where the temperature has reached 40.4 degrees Celsius. The heat throughout the day and the rising mercury at night has troubled people. According to meteorologists, relief is expected after June 15
The heat in Indore is increasing continuously. On Tuesday, the mercury in Indore crossed 40. Amidst the continuously increasing heat, today the day’s mercury rose by 0.8 degrees to reach 40.4. The night’s mercury jumped by 0.2 degrees to 26.2. The heat troubled people throughout the day. The streets looked empty in the afternoon and people were seen trying to avoid the sun.
Before this, on Monday, the temperature increased by 1 degree and the mercury reached above 39 degrees Celsius. Due to this, the general public has become quite troubled. According to the current weather system, the day temperature is expected to cross 40 degrees. The effect of intense heat starts after 11 am which is felt the most till 4 pm. For the first time in the month of June, the day temperature was recorded at 40 degrees. The effect of heat continues even at night and the temperature on Monday night was 26.2 degrees, which is 2 degrees more than normal.
The effect of heat will continue before the arrival of monsoon
Meteorologist AK Shukla said that rain may start in the eastern parts of the state from June 12. Meanwhile, monsoon will enter Madhya Pradesh in 3-4 days, which will enter from Mandla, Balaghat and nearby districts. Monsoon will enter Indore after June 15. According to the data of the last 10 years, before the arrival of monsoon, there is an outbreak of intense heat in the state. The Gwalior-Chambal areas are the hottest, while Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain divisions are also affected by high temperatures. There is some relief in the temperature in the last days of June, although the night temperature drops to 8 to 10 degrees. Similar weather is expected this time too.
Reasons behind the increase in heat
According to the Meteorological Department, in the last one week, Western Disturbance has passed from the north of the Himalayas, which did not have much effect on the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and the high altitudes of Uttarakhand. This has happened for the first time this year. Also, the temperature in the desert areas of Pakistan remains between 48-49 degrees. Due to western winds, the moisture in the air has almost ended. This is the reason why strong hot winds are blowing in many states of North India, which have also affected Indore and surrounding areas.
Weather forecast in the coming days
At present, weather experts say that monsoon will arrive in the state from mid-June, due to which the heat will gradually decrease. However, the heat is likely to remain more intense till the monsoon arrives. People are being advised to take special precautions during this time and adopt measures to protect against the heat. Only after the arrival of rain and monsoon, the weather will return to normal coolness and the temperature will drop.
